We went to a new petting zoo last week with our friends. It was way better than I expected. They had monkeys, kangaroo, horses, cows, goats, chickens, pigs, raccoons, skunks, zebra, camels, and more! We were the only ones there so we basically got a private tour from the farm manager.

The monkey eats a banana! The boys intently watched him do this.

Everyone checks out the horse who was peering at us under his door.

Jeni and Casey checks out a baby goat.

Jonah climbs the fence to see the goats.

The Dalmation 'doat" as Jonah calls it. He's still asking if we can have one as a pet. This goat is more like a pet. They said he thinks he's a dog and he runs around with all the other dogs.

Vacation Spots

So for the entire football season, Jackson has been obsessed with the Steelers. We have no idea where it came from but he has stayed true to it. Anyway, last night was the pro-bowl in Hawaii and it got Clay and I talking about places that would be fun to visit. As we were discussing all these tropical places, Jackson says, "I know, let's go to Pittsburg!" Needless to say, that is not on our top 10 list!

Classic Jackson Quote!

Tonight, Clay was putting Jackson to bed and Jackson asked how old Clay would be on his birthday. Clay said, "well, I'm 35 now, so how old will I turn?" And Jackson answered correctly, "36", and then proceeded to say, "Wow, you're about to die!"

The Greatest Show on Earth

We went to the circus in Savannah last night. The boys loved it. Jonah was in awe and didn't say much, and Jackson just kept gasping and clapping!

You can see the lovely clown hat we got with our cotton candy that no one ate :)

The boys loved the animals the most.

January Fun!

Mr. Potato Head never goes out! The boys love creating goofy characters with their new Christmas gifts.

The boys visited the dentist this month for the first time. We forgot the camera, so Clay snapped a couple of pictures with his phone. There were TV's on the ceiling so they could wear head phones and watch a movie while they were in the chair. They both were very cooperative. About half-way through the dentist says, "I'm sorry, but are you the worship leader at LCC?" We can't go anywhere without being recognized :)

Jonah still loves to sing Jingle Bells :)

Biking in Sea Pines

We went biking on the island in Sea Pines, the most beautiful part of the island in my opinion. We rode out to the lighthouse and play ground, and even made our way out to the beach and rode on it for awhile.

my parents and Clay and Amy.

Jonah climbs the ladder with a little help.

At the top!

The treehouse part of the playground.

The boys Christmas picture! For more pics of actual Christmas visit Clay's site (link to the right).

My brother, Clay, and his wife, Amy, came to visit over New Year's weekend. We had lots of fun, mostly playing Wii! My parents were also here for 2 weeks over Christmas. The boys are totally bored now :)

Jonah loves to sing Jingle Bells in his own special way!

Party Pics

Thanks to everyone for all the great presents!!

Here's Jackson with his cake and the goody bags for his friends.

The boys showing off their tattoos.

4th Birthday

Jackson's birthday fell on a Saturday this year, so it was one big party day. His friend Michael spent Friday night with us. We woke up and had cinnamon rolls. We also collected all the cars we could find and set them up(yes there are some missing). I worked hard at decorating his cake from a picture I found on the internet. I think it came out pretty good. :) Definitely tasted good!

He's come a long way!

It's hard to believe our little premie is 4 years old now. I had to put these pictures up as a comparison. He was born 4 lbs 1 oz and 16 inches long. He now is 36 lbs and 41 1/2 inches tall (75% for his age). In this 2nd picture, he is wearing a premie outfit that was still too big for him. I think that's the first time he had on real clothes (thanks Uncle Clay) and he was probably 10 days old. Wow! All I can say is God is good. He definitely took care of all of us those first couple of weeks. I remember the nurse saying that he would have to be in the hospital up to his due date which would have been 8 weeks, and yet because of many prayers, he was home in just 3 1/2 weeks. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and support during that time.

Jackson's fall projects

A friend gave me the idea of taking pictures of all the kids projects instead of feeling like I have to keep them all. These are things Jackson and I worked on around Thanksgiving.

Fall Fun!

Okay, so it is December, but that happens to be when our leaves fall off the tree. The boys had great fun destroying Clay's piles.

If you look closely, there are 2 blonde heads in this pile of leaves.
