Easter Changes Lives!

Our theme for the month of March and leading up to today at church has been Crossing the Bridge. We talked about local and oversees missions work with updates from all the missionaries we support. Locally, we're starting a regional campus on Hilton Head Island, so we literally have to cross the bridge to reach the people there. We had a bridge built across the front of the stage, and at our services this weekend if people made decisions for Christ, they walked across the bridge as a way of confessing publicly their decision. Jeff did an awesome job of presenting our need for a Savior (the most important bridge) and how much we are loved by that Savior. I may be a little biased, but the worship rocked too!! So today I showed up for the end of first service, and got to experience God's awesome power working in people's lives. I don't know how many people walked across the bridge today, but I was moved to tears by watching it happen. There was an elderly couple where the man could hardly make it across the stage which goes to show that its never to late to let God change your life! I encourage everyone to take some time and think about why we celebrate Easter. Romans 5:8(NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. I Corinthians 10:9-10(NLT) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
