To all the people I love at WFC!!

Clay found this verse this morning and it's just about perfect. Know that we love you all and are praying continuously for you.
I Peter 4:12-13(the message) Friends, when life gets really difficult, don't jump to the conclusion that God isn't on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.

adoption update

Well, we've completed another set of documents. Now we do some waiting. We will attend an all day class sometime in the future put on by Bethany. The next set of paperwork won't come until we get the referral. The referral is when they've picked out a child(ren) for us and send us info about them. This could be as little as it's a girl and her name and age, or there could be more info on her background.
Many of you have received support letters by now and I just want to thank you now for your prayers and support. We couldn't do this without all of you! God continues to amaze us daily as we are on this journey. I conclude with a verse that is probably familiar to a lot of us, but always relevant. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Sunday Best

Very rarely do the boys look this good (or this clean), so we decided to capture the moment. Notice one of many scars on Jonah's head. He ran into the grill. Had the cut been any deeper, we would have experienced our first ER visit with Jonah!

Easter Egg Hunt

Our church had the Lowcountry's largest Easter egg hunt! (I know it doesn't compare to WFC, but we're getting there) It was at the high school's football field. We also had an Eggstreme egg hunt at night for the youth. We had about a 1000 people during the day and there were over 450 youth at the night one!! You can see Jackson trying to beat out his friend Collin for the eggs. Jonah was definitely more interested on what was inside the eggs and in playing on the bleachers. All in all it was a great day, and Granpop and Granginny got experience the whole thing!

Granpop and Granginny's visit

Ron and Ginny were here the week before Easter, so we got to act like tourists for a week! We took a trolley tour of Savannah and ate at the famous Lady and Sons restaurant (Paula Dean's first restaurant). You can see Ginny and I navigating the map. We went to Port Royal and ate at our new favorite seafood restaurant and walked out on the boardwalk to watch people fishing and catching crabs. And, of course, we went to the beach. There was also lots of hanging out on the deck or screened-in porch and playing on the swing set. It's nice to have other pushers!! Jackson asks to go "Super High"!

Easter Changes Lives!

Our theme for the month of March and leading up to today at church has been Crossing the Bridge. We talked about local and oversees missions work with updates from all the missionaries we support. Locally, we're starting a regional campus on Hilton Head Island, so we literally have to cross the bridge to reach the people there. We had a bridge built across the front of the stage, and at our services this weekend if people made decisions for Christ, they walked across the bridge as a way of confessing publicly their decision. Jeff did an awesome job of presenting our need for a Savior (the most important bridge) and how much we are loved by that Savior. I may be a little biased, but the worship rocked too!! So today I showed up for the end of first service, and got to experience God's awesome power working in people's lives. I don't know how many people walked across the bridge today, but I was moved to tears by watching it happen. There was an elderly couple where the man could hardly make it across the stage which goes to show that its never to late to let God change your life! I encourage everyone to take some time and think about why we celebrate Easter. Romans 5:8(NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. I Corinthians 10:9-10(NLT) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

Fun in the Yard

Balls are the story of our life! Basketballs, baseballs, bouncy balls, you name it, we have it. The boys also like hanging out in the wagon, and our beach chairs come in handy for snack.

Note: See the difference in the before and after of Jackson's hair!

Kid Quotes

I asked Jackson the other day when he did something (can't remember what it was), and he answered me very matter of factly, "About 20 minutes ago!"

I was reading to Jonah the other day and got done with the book and he looks at me and says, "A-gain". Didn't know he could say that. He also says more, milk, and much to Ron and Ginny's satisfaction Granpop and Granginny!

A Mother's Job!

When you decide to become a mom, nobody every tells you what it's really going to be like or what you will find yourself doing. For example, today I spent an hour cleaning up poop! Yes, that's right. In the midst of potty training, Jackson this morning decided to poop upstairs on the carpet. Before I could get up there, Jonah had stepped in it and stuck his hands in it. He was saying "uh-oh" repeatedly. Jackson had also stepped in it and then run to the bathroom. So I had poop orginating in Jackson's room and then trailing all the way down the hallway to my bathroom, not to mention all the places on the wall that Jonah had touch. So I first have to put Jonah in the bathtub and try to rinse him off as he screams at me b/c lately he's decided he doesn't like the bathtub. Then I cleaned what I could off the carpet and then put Jackson in the bathtub. After that was done, I got more serious about the carpet cleaning and scrubbed for awhile on many, many spots. Needless to say, this is not how I planned on spending my morning! Hope this gives everyone a good laugh!
